1/60 PG Strike Gundam Head [Anime Version]

Messing around board last week and I decided to work on a random kit. The subject is making the 1/60 Perfect Grade Strike Gundam that has the evolved styling look more like the anime design it had well, in the anime. To do this I would be using the 1/60 HG Strike Gundam. Starting with the HG head I quickly gutted the inside removing everything (pegs, slots, holes) and removed a lot of the thickness from the inside the heads outer wall, this all was done with the goal of fitting the PG Strike gundam’s inner head frame and LED unit inside it. I also took the time to carve out the front head vents so that I could let the PG’s vulcan guns show through. I utilized the PG eyes and face as well. Currently in the pictures above I’m using the HG strikes V-fin. I may keep it after slimming it down or I may just use part of the PG’s V-fin. After getting everything snug I ran across a simple problem, The seam line. In order to access the LED switch and batter you have to pull my modified head apart. The solution I figured was to do a stylize removable back section of the head, I did just that and cut out an area between the vents. Now I can remove the seam line and still access the LED switch. I later added some panel lines to break up the large panels.  Above you can see the Anime Strike’s head on my old PG Rouge’s body.
